For decades there has been a controversy about whales eating fish in the tropics. The “whales eat fish” debate has been at the heart of policy decisions about culling of whales and is pivotal to the future of commercial whaling in the region. Today, however, chalk one up for the whales. The controversy appears to be nothing more than a whale of a tale, according to research by Arizona State University scientist Leah Gerber.
