This video was taken incidentally on a visit to a fish camp on the MacKenzie River to introduce scientists from the Nuclear Waste Management Organization to a real-life experience with traditional knowledge of Canadian aboriginal people who live and work on the land. This was intended to help the scientists understand the knowledge system of aboriginal people so that when the two groups interact in a development project the scientists will be sensitive to the value that traditional knowledge can bring to a project.
