13th February 2008 Australia officially apologised for the abhorrent treatment of our stolen generations.

This video is my small attempt to re-tell the story of that day using images, words and music to educate others unfamiliar with or ignorant of this scar on our history.

Reflecting today on the 1st anniversary of this historic event, I wonder how much has changed and will change if we don't proactively keep this issue at the front of the nation's psyche.

Reconciliation is ongoing but more can still be done. I hope the words spoken here are not also wasted as they have been for the last 40 years.

The desparate inequalities in our society need addressing and politicians who promise change must now be held accountable.
