Congrats on making such a film! Loved the music--really matched the action. I feel like this could expand to a feature! I'd love to know more about the characters' backstories.
  • A.T. plus 3 months ago
Backstory,,, It's really complex. I'm just saying,,,
Japanese government makes a lot of "Fake Cases" "Set-Up Videos". For seeding a Samurai-Spirit. If a case which japanese saves the other country's people, everyone's impression will improve.
    That's exactly what nishiyama does.

Such a wonderful and involving short with many of the clues to an involving narrative - a chase, a seemingly vulnerable girl, a flawed hero who looks after her, an obscure villain who is controlled by even more obscure powerful people all set in a world where anything goes, etc, etc! Can't wait for the full feature length movie before the Americans remake it with Nicholas Cage!
  • A.T. plus 3 months ago
    I like Cage.(KICK ASS!!!)
And I just wanna say one thing.
Tojo the hero doesn't fail. If anything, he succeeded that was able to slip into the secret, not as be a player.
    Thanx for your great comment.

    Masterpiece.

I know it will sound a little bit "cliché", but this short makes me think about manga (anime), the way it was shot, the atmosphere and -obviously- the voices.

I find it very inspiring, and I really like this style.

Great job to you and all your crew, the time spent on this short was really worth it.

Looking forward to see your future work.

I really enjoyed this! Though, something about the atmosphere almost reminds me of METEOR...

Anyway, I'd really love to see a full length movie, if you guys are ever able to make one.
  • A.T. plus 3 months ago
    METEOR? Nishikawa's one?
If it so, I wanna remake that story a little bigger.
    Thanx for your opinion.

Yeah. I found this through his Twitter, and he'd mentioned the videos you'd done together, so I had the look and feel of those in my head when I first watched this.

  • A.T. plus 3 months ago
Japanese, English subtexts, little long length,,,
    These are reasons, I think.
    And also, less explanation.
But someone like you gave me a nice comment.
    It's great honor for me.
    Thanx.

Keep in mind that, while anyone can watch videos here, only Vimeo members can "like" them.

I'm sure far more than just 600 out of 43k people liked it, it's just that only those 600 had (or created) accounts, so only they could "like" it.
