Hmm... I am a big fan of yours, you know that. Your "Rainy Day" is my favorite HV video of all time (and I have watched thousands of them).

But this, this was sloppy. It isn't you. The editing was sloppy, the filming was sloppy, the audio sync, and grading. I know that you can do much better than that.

Thanks for the input Eugenia. It was for a contest, so I rushed it to meet the deadline. Now that I have time I'll try and fix it up a bit and re-upload.

Sounds good, thanks! I can't wait to see the new cut! :)

very good job man! really entertaining. story and cut are great!
..and don't mind.. eugenia is one of those persons who just pay attention on quality and not on story..
  • Eugenia Loli-Queru plus 9 months ago
I pay attention on both. Filming is about both the technical aspect and the story aspect. If it was just the story aspect, we would still only have live theater.
  • Disdausdebil 9 months ago
yeah... you're right but i think videos should entertain you. Thats why plattforms like youtube are so successful.. and theater is just a form of entertaining, film is another. with film you can express so much more and i think as long as a movie can keep you watching it is good. to say a movie is bad because the cc is sloppy is just superficial..

I can tell the flannery O'conner influence (Good Country People) in this short.
  • Batteryfire 9 months ago
I've been told that twice, but I've never read it. Maybe I should! :)

I can see a little that could be improved, but "sloppy" I think that's a little rough, the guy used a freakin digital camera for pete's sake, give sake. or girl sorry.

lol... not bad but I would of used After Effects to take the boom pole & mic out of the TV screen.

The video was decent, and I don't know what the competition was...

But you should go deeper with the story. I'm not saying for THIS video, this video is fine.

I'm saying you should create a longer version, with a story, so the audience can feel for the old guy, and get to know his character better.
