I just do the video portion of the shoots so I have to defer to Aaron or Mike on the photo portions of the shoot.
I have an ex1 and an ex3 but am looking forward to the red scarlet coming out this year as it will do both stills and HD video. I know you're going to say the Canon already does that which is kind of true. But the Scarlet is going to shoot 6K video (ultra HD) and 24MP images using the same lenses you use on your still camera!
I find shooting in a larger format than what you need to output to is critical.
Like the above video was shot in 1080p but edited and mastered to 720p.
It gives you more options rather than limiting you in your creative process.
