Schools across Dallas ISD are focusing on ways to prevent bullying during the district's "Band Against Bullying Week," Nov. 14-18. The effort is designed to educate students and staff about the consequences of bullying.

Several schools had assemblies on Monday, Nov. 14, including Harry Stone Montessori Academy. The program featured skits performed by the school's drama students and an activity to demonstrate the harm that can be caused by bullying. Principal Lisa Curry read a proclamation establishing the school as a bully-free zone, and teachers showed their commitment by signing it. Each student also received a wristband to remind them that bullying is wrong.
