Hiking Piei Makai on Oahu, Hawaii on November 13th, 2011. The route consists of hiking up the main Pu'u Piei trail, turning seaward (makai), and then descending the last ridge spur nearest to the ocean. Along the way are narrow ridge sections, craggy notches, and extremely steep climbs and down-climbs.
