"On a deeper level, your film gives the answer to whom the rioters are: everybody. Because everybody is responsible and hiding behind their own reasoning and morality, not answering for their own role in the riots, namely that of bystander and voyeur. Our modern media world is a world of watchers, Peeping Toms of our own sorrows; 'look our own children are eating each other in the streets' - this ethical weight, all this negative energy is the real cancer, the riots are just a little deformation on society's skin, and we're all shouting; 'aahhh cancer..kill it.. kill it!' That makes me think of the great ending of your film - which is a riot in itself - where Chris is looking through the spy-hole at the viewer. Think about it.. the rioters were (subconsciously) pissed off with the CCTV world we live in and wanted to break it down… 'fuck you Big Brother, you don't have any authority, I have authority and I'm not gonna buy your shit any more.. let's loot!'" – Laurens Steenbergen (editor)
