Fabian has been challenged since birth. But now that Natasha B. adopted him, he won’t have to face these challenges alone.

The child of a cocaine and heroin addicted mother, Fabian was born in 2000 with multiple health problems. None of his conditions, however, discouraged Natasha B. from taking Fabian home when he was two days old and completing the adoption process when he was three.

“I like adopting “at risk” children. I love challenge,” Natasha said.
Fabian is not Natasha’s only child. She is the mother of five other adopted children, ages ranging 4 to 12. She also has two biological children of her own, ages 22 and 24.

At home, Fabian looks like a regular second grader. Vivacious and with a quick smile, he is proof that with loving care, a child will thrive.

Nevertheless, he still has many obstacles to overcome. He has learning disabilities and is on medication for Attention-Deficit Hyperactiviy Disorder.
