this is totally stock mlr 2! only running 2 pattern recs, those others are inner-looping.

Love the first performance so much. It was a bit jarring to get thrown out of that when I was just getting into it.

    Fantastic as always.

The first performance. It sounds like rain outside. So beautiful. What is that?
  • tehn plus 3 months ago
    yes, rain.

and sorry for the short cut, i agree. we were given a strict time limit and wanted to show more than one app.

This sounds great... and reminds me of that feeling I got when I first saw your video years ago. Nice work.

It's strange, I specifically went to the Talk to Me exhibit after seeing that Monome would be there, but was disappointed to see it sitting stagnant in a case next to the Tenori-On with just a brief explanation of what it actually is. Was this video playing throughout the duration of the exhibit? Close to where the Monome was displayed?
  • tehn plus 2 months ago
you are correct, though i hope it wasn't stagnant. i wrote an algorithmic life-ish simulation that should've been running.

the video (for some reason) wasn't shown in the exhibit, but did end up on the online catalog.
