We have the threshold at 247 since we have real bright fingers in the source image. A good tracker test: place two fingers as close as you can, if you have two distinct blobs you're fine.

I noticed you have smooth, amplify, and highpass turned on.

If you have highpass on, you don't need the smooth fitler as highpass also does smoothing. Also, if you already have bright blobs, there's no need to amplify. You probably don't need highpass either since you're not doing DI. The less filters you use the faster it'll track. It also looks like you didn't background subtraction. I bet you could background subtract, smooth and threshold and you'll run just fine and faster.

You are absolutely right. I've been totally careless in this video since I just wanted to show the threshold settings to a NUI group member. I should replace it with one that captures our best performance possible.

    Thanks for your comment Seth.
