Diving in Cenote Angelita

Cenote Angelita is a 60m deep sinkhole that lies in the jungle in Tulum, Mexico. The first 30m of the cenote is made up by clear freshwater, whereas the deeper half consists of saltwater. At around 28m there is a thick layer of hydrogen sulfide. The layer appears like a dense cloud with mysteries tree trunks and branches sticking out. Descending down into the cloud of hydrogen sulfide, the visibility drops to almost zero for a few meters, before you enter the deep darkness of the cenote. An absolute amazing dive in these bizarre surroundings!
