This video serves as documentation for an exhibition by Maneesh Madahar, Curtis Tamm, and Travis Wyche of a large (~30'x100') inflatable sculpture and accompanying projection experiments at the Berkeley Art Museum (Berkeley, CA) as seen during the opening of the exhibition (October 27th, 2011). The exhibition featured an array of projection apparatus prepared by the artists ranging from post-structuralist flicker films and animations and hand painted 35mm slides on prepared projectors to demonstrations of various biological automata (brine shrimp, fruit flies, and blood worms) whirling on prepared overhead projectors. The project was made possible by a residency at LIMINAL SPACE, an interdisciplinary artist-run performance and studio space in Oakland. Thanks to the folks at LIMINAL for their support and to Chris Musgrave for helping with the documentation.
