Leaving Wendover Utah Ghost Rider skirts the mountains to the west of Hwy 93 to where he crosses at the Blue Lake cut off. Heading south to the little old mining town of Gold Hill. Picking up the Pony express Route to Calleo and West to Goshute Canyon. Goshute Canyon is a hidden oasis in the desert. Although only 10 miles from the Weiss Hwy the climb is some 4500' entering the canyon the desert gives way to pines and high cliffs. The trail is little more than 8" rock. The trip includes old mining cabins, and mining buildings. The Canyon once held the active mines, the Oro Del Ray, and the Eagles Nest at the top of the mountain. Ending Day 2
