On Day 15 we get a visit from the Boree Creek School which is a one room school house in a small farming community, ages K-6. We have a great discussion about hearing vs. listening. They say listening is when you WANT to. We play the ensemble of steel discs from the tilling of the soil arranged like a gamelan. They play super hard, then sing the ringing notes. It is fabulous.
