Trackmate, a do-it-yourself tangible tracking system, is shown here controlling a LusidOSC spatial application that sequences sounds to create and mix music. Both the software and the instructions to build the hardware are open and accessible. Visit trackmate.sourceforge.net for more information.

    amazing.

    the knob especially,

and the proximity mixing, seems like great way to dj or play programed material.

sweeet. how might you deal with non-looped samples? and scratching? Maybe a dedicated lower strip with a scanning "time line", onto which you drop samples... and if you drop a sample in front of the line and don't move it, it just plays through, but you could also scrub it around to distort/scratch.

    Hi Adam...

    Very interesting approach.

I had a similar experiment, but w/o a track mate. Currently I'm only supporting MIDI notes, but supporting MIDI tracks is on the way.
