This 10-minute documentary features a patient of St. Joseph's Hospital and her journey to recovery through a life-threatening medical condition. It was produced in conjunction with St. Joseph's Hospital and Twin Cities Public Television to educate the public about new technologies and treatments that are available. Ceil Hall’s idea of being a grandmother included holding her grandchildren as much as possible. So when she found out her daughter was pregnant with her third child (Ceil’s eighth grandchild!), she thought it would be a good idea to relieve the pain she suffered from carpal tunnel, so holding the newborn wouldn’t be an issue. As part of the preparation for the surgery she needed, Ceil had a routine chest x-ray, and the radiologist found something terribly unexpected. Ceil had lung cancer. What began as a loving gesture for her family had led to the unimaginable.
