    Jim,

Do you think your gearing was the factor in catching up the RS in the infield or was it his poor lines???

Compared to the other GT3's out there, my car pulled them in fairly easy on the straights. This GT3RS pulled as hard as my car on the straights. Our thought is now that had different gears as well, the gang studied this video at Napleton today.

I think I may have had better brakes, that would have helped as well.

Paul O'Neil (997gt3north from rennlist) here,

Watched the video a few times.
Unfortunately, don't know the track so can't comment on the corner numbers.

I have the 4.0r&p and guards lsd as well

I do not think that car is fster in anyway than your car on the straights.

There are two corners where you "appear" to consistently early apex "slightly" and are thus are slower to get back on the throttle than the RS

In the corners (right left combo) just before the entry to the banking that you take better than him, you close distance everytime and he thus doesn't pull on the straight

The other interesting corner is the one coming off the banking that seems to be a rather highspeed entry - sometimes he takes it much faster than you and sometimes it is the opposite (the times that you are slower he gaps you by many many car lengths) - maybe something to work on there

    nice video

    Hi Paul,
Thanks for the comments. It was my first time at Homestead so I can't confess to know it that well.

Coming off the banking can be a highspeed entry, but it is also the most risky area of the track. (I was warned many times of this by other drivers). I don't ever think I was ever really fast there after seeing more experience drivers do it, but I was learning and improving all weekend to take it a bit faster and get a clean line through there comfortably.

    Thanks,
    Jim
