very interesting. May i ask, is this done with a dslr auto bracketing exposure?

yes, at three second intervals using an intervalometer.

Very cool - well done. Nice iconic landmark with a great cross stream of NY life. The HDR processing is a bit on the heavy side with slight halo but in this case it reminds me of the spiderman video game so I don't mind it... I just added this to my HDR time-lapse channel - keep me posted on other HDR time-lapse work you do.

    bravo,

    Chad

This looks so cool. I agree with Chad, slightly overmapped, but it works.

How many fps is this? You might try more fps to get the clouds more smoothly.

    I-love-HDR

I agree with Erik about the fps, but since you said it was 3 sec interval, more fps would maybe to fast... at least I know that MY camera would die at that speed :P

    Thanks guys.
It was a very dynamic day and 3 second intervals is about as fast as my Canon 20D can handle when bracketing RAW images. I'm looking to upgrade to a
5D markll in the very near future, that should be fast enough to handle tighter intervals.

What I meant was fps in post production. Not when you shoot the frames. I always try to do 24 fps when I make the final edit.

Did you shoot in jpeg instead of RAW ??
  •
  • Brian Przypek 9 months ago
I shot this one RAW. I do shoot in JPEG mode sometimes depending how much room is left on the cards I have on hand.
