looks absolutely stunning!! very inspirational. I must ask, Did you bend the layers the same way you did in Apache by duplicating the comp about 10x and rotating it on the Y axis? I'm trying to run a test cus it's just wayyy too cool to not give it a try, you really did a phenomenal job.
  • oneedo 2 months ago
Thanks Joaquin and the answer is yes!

  • As beautifull as Apache !
Did you create a specific rig in AE to curl your layers? (as in Apache) or was it a more basic curl effect?
  • oneedo 2 months ago
In some ways it was simpler with a scroll up, but there was a lot more time involved in duplicating and getting the images working!
  • Thank you for your answer. I'm sometimes bored with Motion Design but your work stands out. What is noticeable is that it appears simple despite the huge amount of work it implied. Paul Rand couldn't do better if he used AE :)
  • oneedo 2 months ago
Thanks for that, what a complement. I'd love to go back in time and see what Paul Rand or Saul Bass would do with a programme like After Effects!
  • They might get lost in layers and precomp and get back to cutout paper. (Terry Gilliam could have been happy with AE too)
