4 day weekend tournament in Chandler, Arizona. We made it to the championship game against the undefeated Polar Bears of Phoenix, with scores tied at 2 - 2 after the 3rd period. The score stayed tied at 2 - 2 after 5 minutes of overtime. It came down to a 5 person shootout and after the 4th shootout, still tied, the game was decided by scoring 1 more goal on the 5th shootout and not letting one get by! Congratulations Valencia Express Mites!

Here's a clip of the shootout and celebration. Forgive my screaming in excitement while shooting the video! I'm a proud daddy of Riley (#8) Silos.

    Hi Syl,
Thanks. Not really familiar at all with the rinks in Arzona. I guess dessert = soft ice. LOL! We were just visiting for a tournament and took home the trophy. Sadly, my son brole his arm during semi finals for the 2008-2009 SCAHA (Southern California Amateur Hockey Association) season. He is back now and ready to go again after 3 months off the ice! Bummer!
