Have you heard?
etnies added a few new dudes to the squad... skaters you may already know. Best thing to do when that happens is get the entire team together in one place, put them in a few vans and hit up some parks and skate spots to see whether the new combo works. And it does. Next up - where to go?
Heading East is a migratory ritual best performed in spring or autumn. Post-summer sweat and pre-winter freeze made the latter season our pick for gallivanting around the East Coast. Steering clear of the Big Apple, some may question what else is out East, but the contenders remain - Kinetic, Orchard, Fairman's, Pitcrew, NJ Skateshop, Reign, Exit and Theory - each with their undying love for skateboarding. From Boston to Philadelphia and points in between, etnies hooked up with locals who showed us around and shredded alongside us at the various demos we did.
A new team means new opportunities for adventures through traveling and hanging out. The etnies team consists of a group of guys I hadn’t had the chance to skate with despite the years I've spent on a board. Whatever the reason behind our separate paths, it isn’t even an issue since this etnies Goes East tour marks one of many adventures to come in what will inadvertently be our world tour.
