This short film visualises my concept for a theatrical production of 'The Life of Galileo' By Bertolt Becht. The costumes were inspired by ceremonial silhouettes that could provide a large surface area for the projections. Discovering the galaxy, through his newly discovered telescope the audience will see an interpretation of what Galileo is seeing, projected on the performers and the set. A sense of wonder is conjured, the audience encouraged to imagine the possibilities of just how far the universe stretches, just as the first astronomers did.
