'House of Cards' was made for UK housing and homelessness charity Shelter to illustrate the fragile state of Britain's housing market, where thousands of people are at risk of losing their homes. The film depicts an inner city landscape on the verge of collapse.
Radiohead donated a track for the film - maybe not the track you might think - which was produced by agency Leo Burnett. Actress Samantha Morton, who herself experienced homelessness before she was famous, did the voiceover. Everyone involved in making the film gave their services for free. I'm biased, as I work for Shelter, but it really is a simple and powerful film.
