"Royal" is a bronze and steel sculpture by David Phelps. It represents a figure rolling up from the platen of a L C Smith typewriter. The figure seems to twist and follow the viewer's movements. The concept is based on the idea of a resume being a self-portrait. The title "Royal" is a slight exaggeration of the LC Smith origins reflective of the slight exaggerations found in typical resumes.
