"In a lot of ways, this is the antithesis of the modern ski porn flick. A lot of rock star skiers and not much skiing! Ha! Well, hopefully having a narrative helps the piece along. It was a tough piece to put together with all the different characters. I decided to focus the story on Sage and Lucas and was hoping the piece would give people a sense of who those two characters are besides being rock star skiers/snowboarders. I often feel like the whole process of skiing and who the skiers actually are gets lost in most of the films today." ~jimmy chin

Free-ride skier Sage Cattabriga-Alosa and big mountain snowboarder Lucas Debari step out of their elements and make an attempt to climb, ski and snowboard Denali. Sage and Lucas get a helping hand from a huge cast of seasoned and professional climbers and ski mountaineers from the North Face Athlete Team, including Hilaree O’Neill, Conrad Anker, Ingrid Backstrom, Jim Zellers, Emilio Previtali and Giulia Monego, as the two embark on the hardest expedition of their lives.

All we had to go off for this section was a group of still photos from Adam... I concepted the graphic treatment and let Barry work his magic in After Effects :) He did an amazing job keeping it realistic!

another good piece of work. it is lighter and funnier than most mountain movies. maybe that is a new direction, making films that tell a story but are almost like comedies but still have impressive footage. That is better than just going for the "wow" factor anf trying to look cool

Frankly, what I liked the most watching this video were the motion graphics. I mean the video is nice but nothing I haven't seen before. There are so many great skiing videos. But the graphics are outstanding! Simple, fresh and beautiful.

Such a beautifully shot film, Renan. You and the team did a wonderful job telling the story. I was into the entire thing and i'm not a climber or skier. Did the video crew trek to the summit too or ever get flown in?

Thanks Eric really psyched that it kept your attention! The video crew was part of the team from the get go...fully self supported, with only a few tiny solar panels for power. They told me a few stories of having to run up and down sections toward to top to keep up with story's main characters. :)
