An eastbound manifest freight grinds uphill in Cassandra Pennsylvania. The train will hit the top of the grade at the tunnel in Gallitzen PA, roughly 8 miles later. Helpers are pushing at the end of the train, but after the tunnel they will help retard the train on its multi mile downhill run to Altoona.
