I very like the theme and execution, but the song seems kinda weak. The final fight (?) is a bit disappointing - lacking in power and culmination.
  • The dance-off at the end is a little silly. Usually I enjoy a silly dance-off, but in this video it just doesn't work after so much has gone into creating a magical world and dramatic storyline.

Wow. This is by far the best entry I have seen so far. I hate to sound like every petty vimeo user, but what was this shot with?

What did you use for color? This is an insanely awesome video...
  • Mothlight Creative 8 months ago
Luke - we used aftereffects for all our color needs. worked in 32bpc and used alot of 32 bpc effects to achieve the desired saturation and tonality.

Awesome work man! Must have taken a while to make seeing all the shots needed and knowing how long it takes to set up! I love the flow and the song was cool. Kind of reminds me of a mixture between Zanadoo meets Flash Gordon with a modern twist! Hope that doesn't offend you!?

I'm flattered, Vic! The setups did take forever, and your flash gordon description is pretty much exactly wht we were going for!.

i've seen too many of these contest videos. mostly, they are horrible. i now hate the song. however....this one is my favorite. i don't hate this song when i watch this video. i LOVE this video. it suits the song perfectly in my opinion. if i was in the band, i would have picked this one. the characters remind me of the Nihlists from The Big Lebowski. nice.
