Sometimes, being a tourist can mean keeping a place at arms length while attempting to extract its cultural resources for your own benefit. Mixing travel to exotic locales and mutual historical revisionism may result in an experience of simultaneous joyous exploration and crass economic exchange. Images and sounds recorded on a trip to Northern India’s “Golden Triangle” of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur produced a document that walks both sides of this line between discovery and exploitation.
