SpecE30 @ Infineon 2009-02-15 (rain race)

Spec E30 race at Infineon with NASA Norcal.

It rained all day, so the track was quite wet and it sprinkled throughout the race. Watch for a dry line to develop on the pavement, which made it difficult to step out into the wet to pass late in the race.

I qualified 8th of 14, which was disappointing. I could've qualified higher if I had a clean lap, but qual was cut short due to a car stuck on the hill up to T1.

In the video you'll see me spin at the start and go straight to 14th. Things get worse before they get better.

I finally gathered it up and fought my way back to finish 6th. This performance was good enough to win the coveted Spec E30 Hard Charger Award from EvilGeniusRacing.com. The award is $100 cold hard cash, which will go towards a thorough underbody detailing.
