When we give our heart's full affection and mind's full attention to someone or something then we worship. If we are not careful our worship of something other than God leads to disobedience and that disobedience has multiple consequences. One of those consequences is poverty. If the Church wants to eliminate poverty then we must guard our hearts affections and minds attentions, and we must be willing to enter into fellowship with those in need as one who stands in need.
