Bricks and mortar libraries do a great job of turning related interests into physical proximity. This doesn't occur on an OPAC. sh! aims to reintroduce the social aspects of a library to the OPAC.
In practice, sh! is a national front-end to OPAC systems around the country, allowing users to search their local OPAC whilst being connected with other individuals around the country who share their interests.
