Canadian International Auto Show 2009
Boys night out at CIAS 2009.
Running from Feb 12 - 22 in Toronto.

Due to the terrible state of the Auto Industry, a new shift in focus is being advertised.
From the website....
"Current economic realities and changing consumer lifestyle choices have dictated a new mandate to world automakers. Create solutions that meet an entirely new set of criteria; New engine technologies. The next generation of hybrids. Advanced fuel cells. Electric plug-ins"
Sounds great, but it wasn't all about that at the show>
- Many automakers still had new gas guzzlers prominently displayed with expensive price tags ($90k for a 480hp car in today's economy? no thanks).
- There were a few hybrid cars/concepts, but not enough. Few manufacturers showed their efforts with eco-friendly concepts. Some manufacturers just had 1 vehicle hidden behind all the guzzlers.
- Service was severely lacking (I visited nearly every booth and there was no one knowledgeable. You'd think that car companies would change their attitude)
"So can you tell me some details about your new hybrid"
"err...sorry I don't know a lot, you can get details online"
- Venues were quite empty this year, in past years you had to fight for a chance to sit in a car.
- $20 for entrance?
Spoke to quite a few people, everyone seems to agree with the above thoughts.
Good eye candy though and that's what I was trying to show in this video (loving the mk2).
