BACKGROUND /
Heild (translates into Totality) is a non-narrative film featuring the country of Iceland. The film focuses on all aspects of it's diverse nature, unique culture and proud nation. We were asked to provide audio for the teaser trailer of the film.

APPROACH /
We took a predominantly orchestral approach to the music in order to encompass the grandeur and gravitas of the visuals. The various scenes convey a desolate, mysterious beauty that we tried to encapsulate in the development of the score. The addition of female vocals brings a sense of nostalgia and heritage to the piece whilst subtle ambient sound design assists with depth and movement.
