What makes Gertrude Stein's writing so unique is that she aimed to forget the meaning behind words and tried to looked at them as sounds instead. Stein worked to write her poems with less control of the mind and focus more on the rhythmic sounds that the words created with each other.
With this project, I've decided to try to reflect Stein's freedom of mind through floating letters and sounds forming words and phrases. this explains why the pace goes back and forth from fast to slow – some times ideas are coming easier, while others require more time and effort. The blurred letters that are sticking to the background of the screen are meant to symbolize thoughts that are sticking as the poem forms.
