On June 14, 2009, the members of the World Mission Society Church of God took part in a beach cleanup on Plum Beach (Brooklyn, NY). Large pieces of debris littered the seashore and all other kinds of waste had washed ashore, all of which were promptly and properly disposed of by the volunteer core of the Church of God.
State officials and observers from the Jamaica Bay Guardian and the American Littoral Society were greatly pleased by the progress achieved during this task. Many were particularly moved by the enthusiasm of the volunteers.
