A film featuring my Mum the day after her 85th birthday, in her new flat. Mum can talk, and will talk non-stop when I take still photos of her. However when she realised that this was video she clammed up for a while.
Anyway I let her chat on, and kept the camera rolling. I cherish this little film, however I don't expect it will have quite the same effect on other people.
Filmed handheld with a compact Fujifilm X10, that isn't really designed for video where you need great sound. Shame I left the camera on continuous focus, as I can hear the auto-focus motor chuntering away in some shots.
Having said that I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality, although it took some editing in FCP to get it like this.
Maybe next time I will use the Canon XH-A1 that I picked up on ebay a few months ago.
