I was scanning some Super 8 using our DIY 2K transfer system and came across this clip. I remember letting the EE Lock go as a test and had totally spaced it until I transferred it. I thought it would make a good little lesson for you Super 8 shooters out there.
The internal light meter in the camera does a great job when the light is even and flat. Add some hotspots or a bright background and it typically underexposes the portion of the image you really want good detail.
