My family went and picked up a Christmas tree this last weekend in Michigan, and they were using a baler that I had never before seen in action. The winding of the string, combined with the moving of the tree was quite fascinating, and an experience that I thought was ripe for an "any questions" math experience.

If you were to show this video to your students, and then open up discussion for any and all questions, what do you think they might come up with? Estimation, measurement, ecology, logistics, fuel consumption (it's a gas powered baler), or something else? I think you might be surprised what they could come up with.
