Absolutely brilliant. You've made an excellent work. Although the plot is something you're use to (people who meet in the Internet to do something weird) and you can guess how this could end, the great acting and the atmosphere you've created keep you watching it to the end.

I enjoyed this film very much. But I feel as if I may have missed the point of the plot. Was it so subtle that I didn't get it. One would assume that they were there for sex but then again, as most plots go here on Vimeo, the obvious plot turns into being something else entirely. Was there something else?

This has to be one of the most amazing things I have seen here if not THE most amazing...

    Shooting and edit = incredible
As an actor myself, watching actors through brilliant direction do amazing and simple things without seeing the work lifts my spirits as an artist.

    This was truly extraordinary...

There is so much more I could say but the comments section here would not give me ample space to express it...

You're an actor's dream and I applaud you with a standing ovation!

I have been telling that joke all day. It's funny. Kudos to the writer. Love the ink on her palm. Love the feeling that as uneasy as I was watching, they seemed pretty comfortable with each other even though something scary was about to go down. She could be big. They both could. You are the most talented guy I have seen on Vimeo to date. Keep it up!

  • Jim Goodin 8 months ago
Wow Adam that was beautifully shot, created and put together and a very slow-burning fuse like story line. Great on many levels. It really is sadly dark and that's one of the reasons we make films I know. Without getting into much depth here was it from a true story? I'm wondering where your inspiration came from. On one level pretty sad to imagine but then in another sense it happens every day, wondering if this started from a newspaper story. Regardless excellently done, doesn't make me feel great but then that's the range of power in the medium. Well done...

I had my moment in my life where I commited suicide.
To vanish from this suffering life. I've tried it few times in my life and I failed.
I know what exactly the feeling to come to a final decision's like that. We all go through rough time in our life. We can really say what is what in this life, when the person is deciede to end all the story's in this life but for sure there are lot of suffering and constantly asking us to drop our expectaion of our life but to appreciate them. Not easy but this is our life. I gain my strenght back when I deciede to do my very best in this life to appreciate the life as it is. Untill that moment was created I had to walk on the dark and had to be a shamed of myself. Not no more through those wonderful experience. Life say's " If it doesn't kill you, than you will only be stronger"
It is a touching because it is all in us and it is good to talk about out in the light.
Lovely sharing and wonderful meeting you my dear friend Adam Burr.

    gracias

Great Film. But the whole topic of suicide just cuts me to the bone. I can't understand why, why sucide. Even though shit at the moment may be a torturous hell, things will always change, and there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. You may not see it now, may not believe it will ever be there, but if you hold on, it will come around and things will get better and better. There is always a better tomorrow. You just may have to wade through a lot of shitty todays to get there. But get there you will. Hang On. Life is worth hanging onto.

  • Hi Adam! What a great short! Very inspiring and emotional. Great acting and dialoque!
I have a question: The final scene where the car is filling with gas...is the gain used a an effect or to alter the light condition? Or did you add this grainy look in post? Thank you for your reply and I'm looking forward to see your future projects! Take care, Hans

From one to another when peeps say why suicide? All aspects of human nature should be explored, this was one aspect, the next film may be entirely different. I loved it, dark subject and all! Great filmmaking. We would be less human without all facets of our personalities explored.

WOW, that was brilliant. It keeps you in suspense from the beginning, when you could think that they came to the woods for totally different reason than on the end.
Very sad story. Even the joke was very sad.
Please give us some hope. Make a sequel. Let the car run out of gas.....
Great cinematography. Very good acting in both sides. Camera work, sound just perfect. The whole crew made fantastic work.
Adam I wish you luck in your carrier.
  •
  • Janusz Z 8 months ago
I was thinking about the story.
I believe that in real life, they would try to help each other.
Even when someone is suicidal, hearing that someone else wants to commit suicide, he would try to change his mind.

Amazing. It kept me watching carefully the entire time. Each minute changed my theory of how it would end, yet the outcome was somehow different of anything I tho' before. Also, the acting and script felt very natural. Awesome.

The part where she told the joke was my favorite. Not because it was funny, it was not, but because there is so much behind it.

One minimal thing that bothered me was the part around 5:25. Each dialog sentence zoomed them in closely with a blurry effect, back-to-back, and it got annoying after seen the same effect like 5 times in a row.

Overall, I really like it. I'm totally gonna show this around, it's incredibly well done. Kudos!
