You Are Not Bleeding

A Punk Monk Propaganda film, born of reactions to the disproportionate judicial response to graffiti in Sydney in early 2008, You Are Not Bleeding is the story of a man subjected to agony and humiliation as he is beaten by two happy-slapping deviants, while a gothic waif embarks on a vandalistic wandering through a wet kaleidoscope of urban lanes.

Shot in the colourful backstreets of Enmore, Sydney, using a combination of DV cameras and mobile devices, You Are Not Bleeding is a ruptured memory-fuck that asks the question: who are we allowing to rank our crimes?
