That's Hemoglobin. The protein responcible for carrying oxygen throughout the body. Its created from Xray crystalography scans of the actual protein. (just a matrix of coordinates in space with a radii associated to each coordinate.) I put the data through a refinement process and end up with a polygonal surface.
