With an eye toward prison reform, writer and academic Pete Brook analyzes prison photography from behind his desk. After three years, he decided it was time to get out, on the road, and meet the people he'd written about. Especially the prisoners.

    Mike, thanks for the comment. I was hoping the narrative of the road trip and Pete's personality could carry the more serious topic of prison reform; that by showing Pete as a real person it would temper the academic core of his work, making it more accessible to others. Glad you found this worth while! Please spread it around...
