When I asked Alex Cruden to make a Giant Jaffa Cake I was kidding but he took on the task in his video vimeo.com/315393 and so on a day where Han and I had nothing to do we constructed something of a hommage to his own GIANT JAFFA CAKE!!

    Pam you're awesome! :D

Nuttella rocks, just get used to it! lol - I'd blame Capucha; those damned french invented the stuff! :D lol ..I think I'm going to go and make some toast now, you've put me in the mood for nuttella.. damn yee! :D
  • Pam Newman 10 months ago
I'm posting a video FOR YOU!!! Right now.

And I've been eating my nuttella with corn tortilla chips! SO GOOD! Better than salsa!
  • Georgie Hammerton 10 months ago
I used to spend my holidays in france as a child just sitting in the sun with pack of breadsticks and a jar of nuttella dipping and eating, dipping and eating :D Good times!

    Video for me!? YAY! :D
  • Pam Newman 10 months ago
    OH MAN!

I want some crispy breadsticks and a sunny day in France to go with these breadsticks!!!
  • Capucha 10 months ago
You only need to taste Nutella once to get addicted for life hahaha ! Sorry Pam, there is no cure for that !! :-DDD
Oh, and just for the record, Nutella is french but the original recipe was invented by an Italian guy. But you can still blame it on me folks ! hahaha !!
    Nutella rocks !! :D
  • Georgie Hammerton 10 months ago
I think I'll keep blaming you :) hehe

Well well, I see... If you use orange jam (could make it yourself as well) and add a little bit of jelly it would have been easier to eat! But none the less, a great idea and very funny :D Good to see a text from you by the way! (after i text you when i was ill you didnt text back :( snif snif, cry cry, running mascara...
  • Georgie Hammerton 10 months ago
Don't be so melodramatic! lol. I think given your proposed improvement to the giant jaffa cake you should make one now! :D

oh! and it's 'but NONE the less' - I'm glad I can still help your english even though I'm not there (don't argue! I know it doesn't make sense but it's just how you say it lol) *Hugs*
  • Laura Heijnen 10 months ago
Hihi, ok ok I admit, I still need your help. I am only a Dutch girl, but still quite Intellectual for one! You will be my online translator! :D lol

About the Jaffa, that might be an idea!!!!

Kudos to you sir, I can safely say you did a neater job than I
I notice that you had the similar trouble of the jelly and the cake separating, and the choc all over the hands after
Also, im intrigued by the cling film method
    All in all, nice one!!
  • Georgie Hammerton 10 months ago
Thank you sir! I wanted to get a tight fit for the jelly and we didn't have a similar sized device for the jelly mould so that's what we did! Oh, and it avoided the tearing which you suffered from, I think the cling film was the only possible improvement.. mind you my friend Ollie thinks she can top the both of us so we'll have to see how that turns out.. :D

hahah good work georgie! my favorite part of the whole thing was def you doing a half dance half laughter inflicted wobble at the end. hahahaha! oh oh and the beginning was funny too, with the appearance of the ingredients.

hrm.. is there anyway you could do a sequel that entails making a bakewell tart? :D
  • Georgie Hammerton 10 months ago
=D Thankies! I almost didn't leave in the dance, I just couldn't move my mouth at all! lol.

I've found the recipe for a bakewell tart so maybe I'll have a go in your honour (make a video request to remind me..)

  • eric cwiertny 10 months ago
OK, from now on we'll need to start calling you "Jaffa Georgie" I guess. Great job on such a monumental task...still it did look a bit over the top with all that orange filling...but you did it and that's all that matters! :-)

And, OK, since your making giant snacks...make some giant Maynards Wine Gum Pastilles...I loved those damn things when i was over there last year!!!

Fun video Georgie...as you know, I dig your style!
  • Georgie Hammerton 10 months ago
Awww! Thanks Eric, You Rock!! Make a video request and I'll try and work out how to do it.. it could be a while but I'll give it a go for you! :D

Way to go with the double boiler action. For such an experiment I probably would have just nuked the chocolate as well.
  • Georgie Hammerton 10 months ago
Why thank you very much; if I'm doing the whole thing wrong I figured I might as well do some part of it right lol :)
