Triposo is a start-up focussing on building mobile ravelling guides using a purely algorithmic approach. The first step in the process of building a travel guide for the planet is to combine the available Open Content information out there into a concise database of the world. Given the Google background of the founders, it is not surprising that the Triposo team borrowed many techniques from the search giant. In this talk we'll discuss the general overview of the data processing pipeline and go into what works and what doesn't.
Douwe Osinga is a software engineer, entrepreneur and traveller. After 7 years at Google working on Search, Mobile and Google Wave in offices ranging from Zurich and Hyderabad to Sydney, he's back to running a start-up, Triposo. He lives in Berlin in an apartment without furniture
