Tacon Rosa: in a corrupt Mexican border town, a flamboyant gangster maintains his grip of terror using unconventional methods.
This short film was one of my senior projects at film school (2004). I worked on it with my good friend, writer and director Checo Rubio. We shot it in Tijuana over 4 days, while staying in the red light district. We filmed on a Super16 Aaton, sadly transferred to SD (HD was unattainable then, how time flies...). All actors were 'non-actors', the police chief character was hanging out in a bar when Checo found him. TRT: 11 mins.
