I developed my eye behind a camera as a public access community tv volunteer. But when I became a director of a public access studio in a working class Maryland suburb at the age of 25, I went on a five year path that nearly gave me a nervous breakdown. Thankfully, the company shut the studio down and laid me off before I completely cracked up.
