This is the first teaser from the 16mm footage we took during the trip. This is probably my favorite shot out of all four reels... the speed and feel to it is very beautiful.

All the 16 was shot with the intention of acting as a "memory" for Larry. I just wish I had more than the 15 minutes I have - it intercuts very powerfully next to the HD footage.

Yes :) I'd have to agree - all the 16mm seems very dream-like. I'll have to find out exactly what Olivier did.

Thanks Cdow :) Me too - I watch this clip and just wish I could crawl inside the frame... it's so gold and surreal.

Thanks for the follow up Mike! I've been shooting some Kodak 50D recently, so I hoping my stuff will look as good as what Olivier shot!

    Hi everyone!

Camera used was a Krasnogorsk K3 Reg16, stock zoom
    lens (Meteor 17-69mm), ND filters.

Filmstock was Kodak EXR 50D rated at 25asa

PULL1 processing (in combination with the 1 stop overexposure, it helps getting more earthy colors).

Shot at 48fps (Yay!). Cropped to 2.35, thanks to Mike.

    That's enough cinematography geekery...

Hey Olivier :) Thanks for posting all the tech details - half this stuff is way over my head.

Ha ha :) Oh no, that's not good when you have things to do.
