A day before Thanksgiving my Dad took Loni, my Mom and I to a favorite fly fishing spot. There is amazing wildlife living in this area. Many smaller canyons decorate the weaving Southfork which eventually heads into the Humboldt. It had become a little colder, some frozen water but mainly old man winter has stayed away. Many variety of birds nest in these canyons. Some call this stream section one of the 'best' float tube fly fishing locations in the west. The trailhead is fifteen minutes from my folks place. The Ruby Mountains are brilliantly at attention looking back towards the valley. High desert beauty!
